When I think of Leos I always have the picture of a lion lying on a rock enjoying the sun in front of me. That picture can be very deceiving, not that Leos can’t be lazy, they absolutely can and love it too, but it’s more likely that they are surveying the scene, all their senses activated, and will move swiftly and purposefully when needed. That’s the thing with Leos, it always looks so effortless! The creative mind, the command of attention, the courage…

But anyone who knows a Leo well will tell you it’s not at all what it looks like. Leos feel very deeply and are extremely generous and loyal. They tend to be dedicated at work, which makes them natural leaders who have a knack for the larger view of things, and like to tackle big projects with initiative and creative ideas. They don’t necessarily bother with details and like to leave those up to others. Sometimes that’s a downside, because in all their good intentions, they can miss the fine print. Leos think in terms of abundance. They have a sense for flair and the grandiose. I have yet to meet a Leo woman or man who doesn’t love fashion.

To some people can appear overly dramatic and self-centered. However one of their wounds is being told that they are too much. If told this too often as a child, they can grow up to be very withdrawn individuals. A stunted Leo can be truly sad to experience.

The vulnerable side of Leos cannot be seen easily. Behind that dramatic exterior they are tender, warm-hearted and caring, often to a fault.

Mercury is coming up to rule this month with Gemini.

Gemini is quite literally Mercury’s most volatile expression. It is related to the element air and, like the wind, Geminis are quick to change directions and tend to be unpredictable.

They can be a lot of fun, are very curious and drawn to many different aspects of life. Even though their approach is more mental than emotional, they are often interested in experiencing something new. But more often than not a mental journey will suffice.

It is generally known that Venus rules over Libra, but what most people don’t know is that it also rules over Taurus with which it represents a different archetype. The Libra expression of her is more related to aesthetics, balance, beauty and relationships. The Taurus expression is the earth mother.

Male and female Taureans are builders, they tend to be very resourceful and economical with an eye on the goal that needs to be achieved. One may call it stubbornly, but looked at it another way, it is their way of being economical. Once they have figured out a way of doing something they stick to it. It saves a lot of energy not having to think about it again and again. Plus it gives them the opportunity to refine their skills. They have patience and endurance and are very reliable.

Many Baby Boomers are approaching their second Saturn Return. Some have approached me with concern and dread of “life going to fall apart, unexpected changes, health problems” and so on. My purpose here is to unlock the mystery.

Saturn needs 27 – 29 years to travel around the sun. Ergo, when we are around the age of 28 it returns to the exact point where it was when we were born.

At this age we commonly know which profession we’d like to be in, where we’d like to live and with whom. So we start to build a career, a family a house and more. This is Saturn at work.

A Sagittarius child will delight you with its bright, positive attitude and will make parenting seem so much easier. Idealistic and fun loving, Sagittarius children are a delight to watch growing up even if they are likely to keep you on your toes.

Your Sagittarian is probably a bundle of energy. Hardly surprising considering that the ruling element of the sign is fire. Sagittarians are the cheerleaders amongst the zodiac signs. They always see a silver lining and potential in any given situation. Their perspective is big; their eyes are on the larger picture. They have a sense for abundance in life. Known to be philosophical and idealistic, they are down to earth in their approach. That sounds contradictory. But remember, their symbol is the centaur. It does have 4 hooves while its head is way up in the clouds. Sagittarians love to pioneer and venture out into new horizons, physically and mentally. Travelling is their passion.

At Work

They are great team members as long as you give them the freedom to move according to their own rhythm. Don’t ever try to squeeze the independence-loving Sagittarius into a “9-5” routine; you will lose a valuable contributor. And don’t bother to explain every detail of a project or task. Their eyes will just glass over and their attention will wander. Give them the basic information they need and they will take care of what needs to be done.
